Cultural Resource and Mural for Community Hub
Artist Jordan Weber worked with the barbers and barbershop patrons to create a mural and lending library stocked with books by POC authors to share and support equitable cultural representation while invigorating this prominent, but under-used street corner where business and residential neighborhoods intersect. The library structures double as outdoor seating for friendly gatherings.
Sculptural additions to this mural experience are cleverly built as community libraries that are also patio seating. They feature books written by black, indigenious, and People of Color.
